| I figured it was tires to the ground no-shit power-assessment. No debate between which machine gives higher numbers and which gives lower. No worry about inadequate air passing through IC's or radiator. So set up a club outing, we went and practically had the place to ourselves and had a great time, but I left scratching my head as only two runs were under 14.0
It was really fun though, though I decided to get the MT's and step it up. IMO I have regretted it ever since because now I feel I have some slop in the OEM diff and I need to use it now. Not to mention the huge headache that resulted from having to install another clutch, buying the wrong one for my wants, dealing with driveline vibrations for months. All of my headaches were self-induced, but I can trace them all back to the decision to go to the strip on MT's. Yeah I learned a lot in the process, but I would have preferred to be enjoying my car fully the last 2 years with the limited opportunities I had to do so.
"The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of "liberalism", they will adopt every principle of our socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without ever knowing how it happened.... I no longer need to run on the Socialist Party ticket because the Democrat Party has now adopted our platform." --Norman Thomas, 1944 Socialist Party Presidential Candidate "Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." --Winston Churchill END THE FED
